Been missing the Alpha Flight for too long and the X-Men 1 is the beginning of a new set idea. The Punisher I just wanted the #9 to go with my #10.

Walked 3.7 km to a Panini comic store in Florence today. It was closed even though it was 20 minutes before it’s closing time. Then walked to a train station where there was a used book store. Could only find these items:

Front cover

Back cover (interesting subject matter for a comic)

Front cover

Back cover

Not really true comic books, but I tried. Flying back to RI tomorrow.

Nice book but I think you paid a little too much.

Here’s a few more. I bought the Lone Ranger so I could put the Indian on the back on my wall, a bunch of pre code horror, hottest books going, pretty much. Found some newer Ditko, too.

Posted most of these recently in Gold, but they're all new to my collection as of SDCC, so what the heck. For those interested, who missed the other thread or would like another look...

The first three are raw high grade, the fourth book (Cap) is CGC old label 9.2 (OW/W), and the HIT is an even older label CGC 8.5 with White PQ.

Nothing too special - Went for a road trip to a small town nearby today, found the top two Spider-Man issues for $2 each (score!) and the Batman book at a hole in the wall collector store...The ASM 25 I snagged at more modern store.

I never find "steals" at comic shops unless they are issues that just heated up in the last day or two. At best shops I go to price "keys" at 100% of eBay prices, but most likely 125-150%. Anything at 100% is most likely because it's been sitting there for a year or two.

@Drogio I'm thinking that the IM 55 will be a 9.2 or 9.4 after a trip to CFP Comics. The Avengers 57 came from a CGC 9.0 slab. The slab was damaged so the shop owner removed it but I have the label.

It was a heck of a steal. It’s been on my want list for awhile but actually thinking of grading and flipping.

@Studley_Dudley My desk ornament at work. Lots of Simpson’s swag around the plant; most popular being the Springfield Isotopes coffee mug and/or ball cap.

Some pickups from the weekend / today's (or Friday's) mail...
Really like the Hunt for Wolverine cover, the other two showed up in the mail. Secret Wars is for a Jim Shooter Signature (one of my favorite covers in the series), the Captain Canuck (that's seen better days) is for a Richard Comely Signature

Another Tales to Astonish for the collection and the David Letterman Avengers, was out of town and snagged this at their local CBS the soon as I saw it.
