@00slim I don’t think I’m skilled enough right now to give it a numerical grade; that’s why I’ve been sending lots of books to CBCS. I can say that it’s probably the best looking Iron Man #1 that I’ve been able to get my hands on. I’m excited to see what it comes out at.

Small amount of water damage but I'll take it. Also, no ugly barcode was a selling point.

Another of my custom ASM #300 swipes has come in!

Earth X Venom (May Parker) by Rosel Rodriguez Jr. Maskless by request; going to try and find a colorist to get the red/black on there. I have eight more floating out there at the moment, hoping to see them on the return path in the next couple of months.

I have been trying to be good and only buy X-Men and ASM's that I "need." However, every now and then, something catches my eye and sticks in my brain. I think I first saw this comic when @conditionfreak offered a copy on one of his flash sales a while back (I cannot out-type anyone during a flash sale) and thought it had a great cover. Then I remember @CopperAgeKids mentioning that he had a copy, and I asked him about it, but I was too late on that one too.

So last week when there was an eBay coupon begging to be used, I started looking all over eBay for an X-Men or Spider-Man on my want list. I didn't see anything in my price range, so I started looking at other shiny things. So I basically stumbled upon an auction for this comic that was ending at 10 PM. I placed a bid and checked back in on the auction a few minutes before 10. I upped my bid two or three times (the last time with 4 seconds remaining) and I won the book. It was too late and not enough money to qualify for the coupon, but I was pretty satisfied anyway. Here it is; not something I would normally buy, but I think the EC-inspired cover is awesome!

Bunch showed up in the mail today...

Planning on getting these two signed by Howard Chaykin and Graded. The Star Wars has seen better days, but man...it reminds me of my childhood. Also have an Avengers blank on the way and hoping for a head sketch of Captain America.

Planning on getting Chaykin to sign these two also...but not grading.

Lando #1 Variant...

Couple of New Avengers Variants...Almost had a freak out when I saw that blotch in the top right of the Wolvie, then realized it's part of the design...looks like someone spilled tea on it.

Got this in the mail today, from an Ebay purchase.

The seller is called "jmix9892" and described this book thusly:

"Defects are as follows

Color breaks on front and back cover of spine

Slight cover dents"

Pictures looked good to me so I bought it after a best offer and counter offer.

I am extremely pleased with the condition. Been wanting this for quite some time, and got it for a good price.

And for those who care. Newsstand baby.

You should see the before pics! This was a very very dirty comic on the back cover.

Look at this unicorn right here. Highest grade on ebay is a 9.6 for sale. Never seen a 9.8 CGC SS like this before.
