Hi all!

Venom: Lethal Protector goodness, fresh from CBCS! Straight out of the box & on the wall; these look fantastic. Going to have to get Mr. De La Rosa to sign a LP Red next year so I can get the matching labels, but I've been looking forward to having these on the wall for a while. I'm still short the Black/Error & (legendary) White/Error, but three out of five isn't bad.

That's cool, I was so in love with her when I was little.

She always made feel... Bigger

Sexy.

I’m gonna slab my TOS 57 later this year. Probably 4.0-4.5. Makes the eventual upgrade easier.

@Studley_Dudley Hey man, nice books! Is that a 1st printing on the Secret Wars #1, or 2nd print? No way to tell without looking at the splash page.

Thank you. I believe it was tedsaid's advice that allowed me to get it.

I have been on a self imposed buying moratorium over the past 6 months due to relocating from the DC area to Austin, TX. Finally in the new place and had a free day so went to the Greater Austin Comic Con. Very disappointed that with about 140 booths, only about 10% were actually selling comics. but nonetheless, I was able to find these.

Although the comic buying was more of a bust than I had hoped, I met Howard Chaykin, who did this sketch cover for me. I really enjoyed talking with him. He certainly wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea, but I had a ball talking with him. I walked right over to his booth expecting to find a line, but no one was there. Couldn't believe it.

Lastly, met Brandon Peterson, who did this commission for me. Lynda Carter lives in the DC area and attended several of the Capitals home hockey games during the Stanley Cup playoffs. So I asked him to do this with her wearing a Caps shirt.

This purchase from @Steverogers11 came in yesterday. Regretted selling my 8.0 & I’m happy with the upgrade.

He still has a NYX #3 for sale if anyone is interested.

I also FINALLY got a decent first print of this! It’ll be here in time for SDCC so I can submit it for grading.

Look at the color on this one. Not bad for a book from 1963.

@BabaLament What grade would you give the Iron Man #1?

Upgraded my 2nd print. The owner was local and was more than happy to take a trade and cash deal.

Nice. This one is high on my list. A 2nd print is probably the best I would be willing to pay for. First prints are just crazy expensive.

@00slim I don’t think I’m skilled enough right now to give it a numerical grade; that’s why I’ve been sending lots of books to CBCS. I can say that it’s probably the best looking Iron Man #1 that I’ve been able to get my hands on. I’m excited to see what it comes out at.
