@Watcher sweet! It's the first gun I've bought in a while. Comics don't leave much money left over for guns.

Why are we posting guns in a comics forum?

A nice, glossy second print. My nicest one so far. I’m also considering an offer on one 1st print while awaiting response on another. |

Why do all the ASM 200's have that black line through the UPC?

Just got the notification that my Tales to Astonish #44 (1st Wasp) just shipped from across the street yesterday. Seller claimed a 3.0. I had it figured for a 2.0 & it came back 2.5. Not bad. My friend submitted it for me after getting it signed by Stan Lee. Glad to have it in a yellow label. I’ll post it once it arrives next week. |

Bought another collection today. Nice books; a couple that had water spots, but (luckily) none of the more valuable issues were damaged. Everything is bagged, boarded, and priced out; now I get to spend the next couple of days moving things around so I can get it boxed up alphabetically. However, given the size of my current collection, I'm thinking I have enough material to set up a booth at the local convention next year; so maybe I'll be able to thin out some of the duplicates. |

The person let an ASM 300 go with this collection?! Are there any other comics that are pushing $100 raw in this collection?

@BabaLament Nice haul! @Drogio That BG #1 could probably fetch a few bucks. |

@BabaLament Real nice haul. I also see that a lot of them are newstand copies. Buying collections is a lot of fun and that is the way most of your regular dealers at the shows do it.

Had a fun day at the Motor City Comic Con yesterday. Here is what I picked up. I also got my Neal Adams print signed. My 16 year old son joined me and he picked up a few "What If" books. I think he is trying to collect them all. My favorite pick up was the Suicide Squad original art with Harley and Katana done by Eduardo Pansico. I think his work is under appreciated. Also bought some prints and had John Cassida sign them for me. Fyi, the first 2 signatures are free if you have something you bring. |

@Drogio I'm still sorting everything into boxes, but I kept a small list next to me of the more expensive issues: ASM 299/300/301, New Mutants 1/14/18/25/26/Annual 2, Hulk 324, Blade Runner 1, Web of Spider Man 1/32, Uncanny X-Men 184/201/221/241/244, Star Wars 1/100, Daredevil 254 He stopped collecting before the Cable/Deadpool issues of New Mutants; but I can't complain. Even the "dreck" is pretty nice; lots of Uncanny X-Men between 115-250, complete (to the point he stopped collecting) runs of X-Factor, New Mutants, ROM, Daredevil, ASM/Web/Spectacular (including the full McFarlane run), & Incredible Hulk; along with various "...WTF is this(?)" stuff; like a complete run of ElfQuest. I wish my parents had loved me enough to subscribe to damn near every Marvel title for like ten years. This particular co-worker was issued an ultimatum by his wife: by the end of the week he had to choose between his golf clubs or his old comics; but either way, one side of the garage needed to be cleaned out. He pulled a number out of thin air, I gladly paid, and I think it worked out quite well. Moral of the story: Golf sucks, read comics. |
