Dude! You've got to start your own thread and tell us about it. Was Halo ever close to being legit? Did you have insurance? A vault? Who were the other graders? How did you get the job? What qualifications do you have? (are you well known in the industry?). Where did you learn your resto detecting skills? Spill the beans!

Oh wait, I think I'm confusing Halo with Vault. Is Halo the Australian grading company?

Edit: Yup, it is. I'm not as interested now

If you're looking for proprietory beans in a non-disclosure agreement what starts as an innocent fart could end up in legal incontinence for southerncross. Just sayin'.

Those legal issues would probably apply regardless.

Although this thread has taken some interesting turns and veered off course a couple of times, it's provided ample time to consider favorite cover images.

There are many, too many favorites to choose from really, but these are in my collection, so they come to mind first. To start, Alex's recreation of his last classic WWII Marvel Mystery cover (gouache), followed by a Rozen Shadow pulp cover (oil), and finally a Rowena PB cover painting (oil).

While I posted the first two in an earlier thread on art collecting, the last hasn't been posted prior to this. At least I'm trying to keep the redundancy to a minimum.

So, here are Alex Schomburg (Marvel Mystery #66, Sept. '45), George Rozen (Shadow Magazine, June 15, '42) and Rowena Morill (Theodore Sturgeon's The Dreaming Jewels, Dell SF)...

I love Kelly Jones' nightmarish Batman covers. I may try to collect the whole lot of them at some point.

@Stelbert_Stylton IMHO you could put up virtually the entire run of Promethea covers in this thread

Promethea is one of the most incredible comics I have ever read. The art, the writing, the mythology... it's all so good. Anyone who complains that Modern comics take 5 minutes to read, pick up Promethea (or any ABC titles, really).
