Why would you need to get a book out? It seems counter-productive to me.

Some people like to look at and read their funnybooks. I've cracked at least half the slabs I've ever bought.

Yes, we all want to read the books but that is what reader copies are for. Which are generally not hard to find in one form or another. Personally, I am not going to drop good money on a sealed/graded book just to diminish the value. Unless of course I was going to get it signed. |

Yes, it is shocking. I bought a comic book, and I actually want to hold it, read it, and enjoy it. What a concept. I keep comics in slabs if I someday want to sell them. Or if they look nice in the slab, and I know I won't have time to read them, anyway. |

My Wonder Woman #6 looks really great in the slab. Glad I didn't take that one out, though bummed not to read it. It's only 2.0, and purple label at that. But it presents well in the slab.

I have a Daredevil #183 signed by Miller. That is not coming out of the case.

If we are talking about new CGC cases then there should not be any question about why one would want to crack it.

I think the slab craze has gotten out of control with over inflated prices. If a book is worth $20 then it's worth inside the slab should be around $20 + grading cost + whatever extra it's worth to you to not go through the grading process with your own raw copy. It's value should not magically jump to $399.
