Erica Shultz is going to be at the Lexington Comicon and she helped write the Revenge book. I was curious if CBCS authenticates and grades those?

I believe 3/8 inch is the thickness limit as far as encapsulation goes.. And obviously not taller nor wider than a comic book.

What about Trade Paperbacks?

I just saw the Hard cover book is 0.5 inches.

I have seen them grade trade paperbacks, so long as they fit their maximum dimensions of 7.625" x 10.5" and .24" thick.

Well if I can't get one of these signed, I did find a good book that would save me some money at the show. Neal Adams did Batman: Odyssey and Michael Golden inked issues #1 & #2. Now Erica Shultz is listed on lots of sites as having given artistic support on the title but she isn't credited on any of the issues. So if I can find out if she worked on issue #1, I could get it triple signed instead of having to buy 3 books and pay for fees on all three of them.

Weight factors into it as well. If it's a more modern TPB with heavy paper stock pages it increases the chances of the book breaking through the inner well if it takes an impact. Something along the lines of the Death of Superman TPB with newsprint pages though is generally light enough that it's not as likely to happen.

The best bet would be to email customer service and have them check with production to get a better idea of where they draw the line for weight on a book.
