Some questions for you @obiwan1971

If we want the comic pressed as well, what are our options?

Does the grading include fast pass?

When you say "shipping is determined by the number of books submitted," does that mean by the individual or the total number of submissions you have from all individuals?

How do you invoice? Do you send a request via paypal prior to April 4th?

Thanks!

Has anybody in the history of the world signed more items than Stan?

At this point Im thinking something without a Stan Lee signature would be more rare.

"Weekend at Bernie's" seems to keep popping into my head when I visualize them wheeling Stan Lee into his next signing.

I imagine Neal Adams is 'close', but not there.

Guinness says that in one sitting (however long that might have been) one guy signed almost 7,000 books. So that's something.

I might go with Pete Rose or another athlete who's been broke/disgraced for years. But who knows?

I remember at a convention, getting a poster signed by Lou Ferrigno. I asked him to put my name on the poster and when he repeated it. I couldn't make out what he was saying. So I repeated it. We did that a few times and finally I just gave up.

But he got it right on the signing.

I honestly did not know that he has a speech impediment. I found out that day. I felt so ashamed of how I kept correcting him. He just couldn't say Walter.

Where can you find out about what artists/writers will be there? Big apple comicon says they're nycs best comic convention,, but both their website and Facebook pages are pathetic, and it's less than 2 months out!

Unless I'm missing something...

Yeah I'm pretty sure he's deaf. I caught the tail end of an interview with him talking about the movie Pumping Iron.

What does it mean to "prep" a comic book? Found an old Milly in my pile and might consider this.

Kaptainmyke has a tutorial somewhere...it's pretty good if you haven't prepped a book before. I think you can find it in a Google search or just PM him.

Yep if you are having Stan sign definitely make a windowed bag so he signs where you want. Specifically with this book I was worried about him signing into Black Panther which I have seen so many times. I also provided my own sharpie which had a finer point but that was in-person.

No mention of Stan Lee on the celebrity or creator guest list. To be honest, the list is quite small fo being a month out.

Anyone know if he cancelled? Still dealing with health issues (amongst other things stressful) to my knowledge.

I have been reaching out there both the promoter and agent. I haven’t heard back from either, which given the situation and knowing them both well I can understand. I do have people sending items, which I’m keeping safely on the side as well as their payment in case Stan doesn’t make the show. There have been many stories from both sides of this story. None have been official or confirmed

Due to Stan not being able to attend Big Apple my signing has been canceled. Once Stan starts coming back out I will set up a new signing and post the details

@conditionfreak @Lewdog Lou is 80% deaf, yep. I've seen him at a lot of conventions. Eye contact, lip reading, and context fill in the gaps for what he can't make out on his own.

I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for. drchaos private msg quote post Address this user
If Stan cancels a signing does that mean we get six more weeks of Winter?
