I finally found some copies! Had a saved ebay search forever and a day....

2016 Center for Disease Control CDC Preparedness 101 Zombie Pandemic Graphic Novel VF Copy. CDC has a fun way of teaching about emergency preparedness. “Preparedness 101: Zombie Pandemic” demonstrates the importance of being prepared in an entertaining way that people of all ages will enjoy. Readers follow Todd, Julie, and their dog Max as a strange new disease begins spreading, turning ordinary people into zombies. Stick around to the end for a surprising twist that will drive home the importance of being prepared for any emergency. Included in the novel is a Preparedness Checklist so that readers can get their family, workplace, or school ready before disaster strikes.

Extremely low distribution rare print in comic book form. These comic books are a wide magazine format with glossy pages and are very very very SCARCE.

Super cool book from the CDC! Very weird and quirky book from the CDC of all places...

By the way, the seller on ebay had a handful of them. I tipped off DarthLego and Shrewbeer and they got a few copies too. The seller shipped like an ahole though you should see what they looked like beforehand......

I wasn't sure if they made a hard copy of them. Nice find.

Super scarce in comic book form. I knew they existed but never knew how or where they came from. These copies do not feel like bootlegged copies but who knows. The digital comic book is found online with very high resolution images so it's possible but doubtful.

It's supposed to be magazine size, is yours?

Yes, it is oversized magazine size. It fits exactly the size width and height of a magazine size board backer. All glossy thick magazine pages, too.

I see that it says AC/DC comics in the corner and the character is drawn like Angus Young. Does Lou Brutus look like Angus Young?

I'm not sure if these are promos or what. I think they were intended to be sold at Marvel Adventures Theme Parks which I'd never heard of before. I bought them at a dollar store.

I have no idea. It was hard enough tracking down the radio station information!

I guess if there is a price on the cover it doesn't count as a promotional comic? That's the rule in my head anyways!

I want one of these!

Not always true. Sometimes promo comics will have a price on them so that you feel like you are getting something with a value assigned. Either way, I'm not really sure if these were distributed in the way that they were originally intended to be distributed.

@kaptainmyke Me too! There is a fair looking copy on eBay right now for $75. I passed on it b/c the seller’s photo shows a clean comic, but the keyboard & desk it’s laying on are filthy. Not bagged/boarded, and he only has the one cover shot. Too risky for me.

I have the poster from the SNES game framed up. Also have the much rarer poster from the SNES Seperation Anxiety sequel game to Maximum Carnage.

Still looking for the poster from SNES Spider Man & X-Men: Arcade’s Revenge; that one was limited issue.

Yeah I saw that. First thing my mind went to was "why on earth did he lay that raw comic book on his dirty gross keyboard?"

@kaptainmyke Another copy of Maximum Carnage promo went up on eBay this morning. Looks clean w/ good corners...#mine. When it comes in I'll take a bunch of good photos & post. Slabbing it regardless & framing it up on the wall next to the rest of my Venom/Carnage goodness.

Just out of curiosity; does anyone have the leather-bound copy of Maximum Carnage that came w/ the collectors edition of the SNES or Genesis game? I've heard of it, but I've never seen one.

@kaptainmyke Nice! I'm the only guy I know of who has the Separation Anxiety poster; it wasn't included w/ all of the SNES games. both it and the Maximum Carnage poster have some wear; I'd like to find replacements & have them pressed to get the box-folds removed. A little too big for a CBCS slab though...
