| Seems to be based on the old Kree costume. I'd imagine this will be her "first costume" and then she will wear the red and blue later on in the movie if not then, then definitely in Infinity War. Regardless, I LOVE IT! | ||

| In the comics, Danvers didn't think to decide to take the name Captain Marvel, until Secret Avengers #28 (during the AVX War) she loses her friend Mar-vell, again. She reflects on the loss and says, ” “Captain Marvel, The name will always define the best of us. Perhaps it should live on. ” A Pre-cursor thought of her taking on the name? You decide. Though Carol 1st appearance as Captain Marvel was Avenging Spiderman #9, The Events of Captain Marvel #1 (2012) PREDATE Avenging Spiderman #9! At the end of Captain Marvel #1, she talks about "TAKING THE DAMN NAME" because Captain America suggested she do it. She outranks Captain America too.
