There are maybe three recent threads for lists of eBay sellers to avoid.... what sellers do you trust implicitly for grading raw books?

any guy that lists his comics as VG because he thinks that's the highest grade

I buy just about exclusively from eBay sellers who are NOT comic dealers. Poorly described lots of books, with book a spread put over a table.....I can always, worst case scenario, double my money, off of those sorts of sellers. As far as legitimate comic dealers on eBay, below is a list of dealers who I have bought, traded and sold to for years...guys I know personally, whom I would recommend buying from. BasementComics ChesterCopperPot CopperAgeKids * JMHComics ** PlunderPalace * Yeah, I put myself on that list. Kinda tacky, I'll admit. But, how many dealers do you know that guarantee that grades assigned on their unrestored raw books will come back as Universal grades, at the same grade I assigned, if slabbed by CBCS or CGC? By guaranteed...6 month right of returns, if a book I have graded as a Universal 4.0 comes back below a Universal 4.0, or any restoration was missed by myself, I will buy the slabbed book back from the buyer at the sold price, reimburse the buyer for all grading fees as well as all shipping costs? I am just that awesome. ** JMHComics (John Hauser) is the only dealer above that I do not know personally. I spent hundreds of dollars with him, a bit over a thousand, over 2-3 months...abput 22 years ago. Before eBay blew up, he used to send out a catalog every couple of months. He had a 50% off section, I would call him up over the phone and reserve a bunch of silver (and whatever gold or pre-code books were left) and send him a check. His grading was dead on. I came across a couple of his auctions last week on eBay and he still grades very tightly. |

I'm not sharing the sellers that I get steals from.🤣 I am happy to share dealers thst I know grade on an even keel, and who price their books fairly, though. Far as strict graders, these two make thst list, all day: Comics4Less MyComicShop |

I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for. | drchaos private msg quote post Address this user
Columbia Sportscard / Columbia Hobby usually has great deals on supplies. I seem to find better deals from them on eBay than I do on their website. It does help to buy larger quantities, I usually buy 1,000 bags and boards all at once for a better deal. |
