Met them in '83.

My friend got a signed drum stick at the show and gave it to me about 2 decades later.

At first I'm hearing Iron Maiden....then the voice kicks in and I hear a Rob Halford-ish style double tracked echo voice....then the guitar break, Blue Oyster Cult pops into my head....and then that solo sounds Ace Frehley inspired.

That's a cool tune, hadn't heard of them before...

I saw a lot of concerts in '83, so that might be right.

I saw the Ramones play at the Agora Ballroom in Atlanta and Amy Carter (Jimmy Carter's daughter) was there. I didn't see her, but it was mentioned in the paper the next day.
The Satellites (later known as the Georgia Satellites) opened.

Saw the Ramones twice.

Saw Metallica from the center of the stage in the snake pit.

My friend's roommate was a roadie for Metallica. The passes came through him.

A girl I used to date married the road manager for Guns & Roses after I decided our relationship was going nowhere. I never saw them live. Wasn't a big fan.
