I saw a few of their slabs in person at a local show about 5 months ago. The dealer selling them was not impressed with their slabs. Overall, the books were higher grade moderns that seemed to be fairly accurate. Sorry I cannot be more help, but I didn't really look at them closely.

The limit of my experience is seeing the cost of their grader's notes and never going back till just now. I don't know how well they grade, the quality of the holder, or how well they sell (I don't think I've ever seen one on ebay for sale) but with grading at $32, Grader's notes for $55 and pressing for $40 per book, their prices seem unsustainably high. |

I agree their fee for graders notes is outrageous. The base fee for grading seems fairly reasonable to me considering how fast their turn around time is. I have never seen a slab in person, but from YouTube videos they seem to be very sturdy and well designed. I really have no interest in pressing, I think most comics should be allowed to wear the character of the journey they have gone through over the years.

Whether you have an interest in grading or not, I've never had a book pressed, the fact that they think it's okay to charge $40 to press a book when a respected presser like CFP will press most gold and silver age books for $20 (most moderns for $10) tells me they're a little out of touch. I didn't see them mention anything about their turnaround times, except that you can do a 3-5 day rush for an additional fee. That said, I don't doubt their turnaround times are faster but I'd argue it's for lack of business than it is a superior service. Heck CBCS had 14 day tunarounds when they launched but were flooded with too many orders to keep up. It also does not fill me with confidence that they make no mention of who is grading the books as both CGC and CBCS do and they keep saying they have "relationships" in the comic, art, and entertainment communities (for signings and witnessing), forensic authentification services (for signature verification) but don't actually name anyone. They say they have "a presence at almost all comic related conferences and art events throughout the world" but I don't think they've ever had a booth at SDCC, which is held in the same county they're located in. |

I like how their slabs and lables look. I like the grader notes on there. What kinda scares me is you have no clue who you are dealing with, and who is handling your books. They have cloaked themselves in more secrecy than friggin Area 51. You send your books to a P.O. Box, you have no idea where they go after that. The whole operation could be in some dude's apartment for all we know.

I heard it was actually located IN Area 51!!! They have a hangar that is so secure they named it "Vault". It seems the Arachnids made a deal with MIB that they would not destroy earth if they could set up a comic book grading company. MIB agreed, thinking that with their limited sense of humor that this was a way for them to study earth humor and culture. Little does MIB know that they are actually infusing these comics with a chemical which attracts all types of spiders and augments their growth. Anyone who ones a Vault slab is advised to be on the lookout for these spiders and do not, I repeat DO NOT, piss it off!!! Think Starship Trooper spiders on steroids!!!![]() |

Out of curiosity of if this air of secrecy might stem from the fine art culture, from which this company claims to derive from, I did some quick research. Interestingly there happens to a fine art company located in Texas called Vault Fine Art Services. On their website they have listed the names, emails, and phone numbers of each one of their expert employees. Zero secrecy there, so what is Vault Valuations hiding and why?
