Would the unification include plans for building a wall to keep Mexicans out of the forum?

Seems unusually long for a scrub. Maybe they got hacked like they did a few years back.

No. Foreign Variants are welcome, so long as import duties are paid legally. No underdeclaring values.

Good...I'd prefer to include Mexicans. But I'm all in favor of a wall to keep the Canadians out.

It's a deep scrub. They're exfoliating right now.

Yes, and they released all your PMs on the DarkNet.

CGC forums hacked?

Of course this is a cached link so you'll only be able to view the first page of the entire thread until the site comes back online.

So those pics of greggy and me are public knowledge?

Not a clue, but the longer the CGC forums are down the more folks will gravitate over here. They just can't catch a break these days.

The Ninja software may be clunky, but at least it seems to work. (Thumbs up & fingers crossed)

Ha! Just the pics taken on the train. I think either Kav or CAK is the culprit.

It occurs to me they talked a month or two (or three) ago about a major overhaul of their forum software that was in the works. I wonder if that's what's happening?

Kind of strange, though, to implement it with no announcement ....

I would be surprised if this is what happened. I think they do have a thread announcing site maintenance and I don't recall that as having been updated in the last couple of days.

To go off-line during business hours is a redflag to me that something is most def wrong and not planned.

Could be the hosting company, I remember MCS just had a major sanfu with thier site recently that took a few days to resolve.

You would think they would at least put something out on social media i.e twitter and/or facebook. They are actively posting on twitter today.

Yeah, you are probably right that taking everything down in the middle of the day is probably not something they would do intentionally.

Arch was talking about a major overhaul of forum software shortly after they implemented the tweaks that resolved the posting delay issue. That has to have been at least a few months ago and the overhaul didn't happen, so perhaps they thought better of it.

The overhaul was going to be an all new forum and they would have proactively announced that like they did a decade ago (around the time of the last update)

It appears to be a power outage at the server farm hosting the site. I hope they don't have anywhere near the trouble I've had in the past when this kind of thing happens.

That makes perfect sense. After effects of Tropical Storm Colin? Should have thought of that earlier.

Actually, Cloudfare appears to be reporting an issue with a transit carrier, and not specfically a server farm with a power outage issue. Their status list for all of N.A., and specifically the Pheonix location (which appears to be where CGC's forums server runs) shows "operational" status.

They did post on Twitter about an hour ago. Odd.

Regardless of the reason, this lengthy outage is doing them no favors.

The CGC site appears to be back up now. They apparently dried out their wavy servers. They'll have to do a lot of scrubbing to get rid of all those pesky Newton's rings though.

Moire later.

There was a duplicate forum so they deleted the whole thing.

Either that or they went through with CAK's idea and decided to delete the whole thing to erase evidence of dissent from the internet.
