New Mutants 1-100 (individual) sales thread?4616

Collector CopperAgeKids private msg quote post Address this user
I may run a sales thread on here, based on response from this thread.

I have nearly a full run of New Mutants #1-#100 with duplicates on most issues.

Thinking of putting up a flash sale on this forum, with each book for sale at $3, $5 or $10 a piece.

What I would do is take a picture of the front covers of 4 books
, per image upload.

I am not going to scan FC and BC of books that I would be selling at $3,$5 or $10 a piece.

I know how to grade books.
I would assign a grade to each book and offer free return shipping, if a buyer is unhappy with any book(s).
.

Shipping would be at cost, boxed and bubblewrapped via USPS Media, 1st class or USPS Priority Regional rate A or B

All books will be freshly bagged & boarded.

If not happy with any books, I will accept a refund within 7 days. In that unlikely event, I would cover return shipping cost.

I have 4 raws of NM 98, and 1 raw of #87. (1st prints)

I have a few gold (2nd print) #87's,they would be $5 each, along with 1-2 9.6's at $10 each.

They will not be included in this $3,$5 ,$10 per book sale.

I will list my raw 87 1st print, and one of my raw 98 1st prints, with FC & BC scans of both.after all of the $3,$5,$10 books were posted.

Most issues would be $5.

Average grade is around 9.2-9.4.

Some as low as 9.0, some as high as 9.6.Some may be 9.8 candidates, most are not.

98% of the books were bought from dealer bulk long boxes, well over a decade ago and have been kept in a dry/well ventilated attic.

I do NOT sell books on Facebook, I only sell at eBay and conventions.

None of these books have been taken to conventions, since I bought them, so they have not been subjected to mishandling of heavy handed convention attendees i.e. no convention abuse

All of the keys like #18, 86 and a couple others, would be $10's.

If there is enough interest, I will promote the thread via a Facebook share, to the largest FB buy/sell/trade comic groups.

Anyone who participated in the sale, who was directed via a Facebook group, would have to join the CBCS Forums in order to post up a "I'll take it.", on any book.

If I do not garner enough interest, I will just keep on hoarding the books.

Ir list a full run of #1-100 (all U.S. printings included, ) via an eBay Buy It Now listing, at a minimum of $500 + insured priority shipping.Such a listing would not include raws of 87 and 98, that were above VF/NM 9.0.

Or I'll just keep on hoarding them.

I have a lot of newsstand editions and , most annuals.

The question about the annuals reminds me that I have a NM Annual 2, which would be listed separately, at the end of the thread, same fashion as 1st Prints of #87,#98.

Also reminds me that any raws of #Legion's 1st full appearance,NM #26 will be $10, but not in higher grade.

I know that I have at least 1 NM-ish copy of NM #25 (1st Legion cameo), which would be a $10 book. It's a direct edition.

I pulled my higher grade NM #26's aside, last year.

If I do this, it will be starting next Tuesday night.

I'm shooting for 20 boardies to post interest by Friday, than I would cross promote this thread on all of the Facebook comic groups I am a member of,on Friday night with a link to a new sales thread (which would not go live, until Monday or Tuesday night).

I am more interested in selling the entire run of books individually,
than just garnering interest for a book like NM 98.

Eeryone can use another copy of NM 98.

I have 4 raw NM 98's myself....I could use anotherπŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜Š

I am thinking of running the NM 26,87 & 98 1st Prints and the New Mutants Annual #2, individually, after the other books are posted via "Reply Sold" format, in the same thread.

These would be listed via auction style, starting at the original cover price of the books...$1.00.

With minimum incremental bids on each book at $1.

After the $100 mark was reached, the minimum incremental bid would be $5.

At $50, minimum incremental bid would be $2.50

The bidding on those 4 books would be a soft close, to avoid bid sniping.

Same principle that Comic Connect uses in their auctions.

Time stamped bids would be extended up to 10 minutes.
