| Carol Danvers has been around since the late 1960's. Since I don't follow moderns I was wondering why the Avenging Spider-man 9 has such a high FMV? Is it that she took the mantle of Captain Marvel, that there was a low print run, that there wasn't a variant cover, or is it something else? | ||

| @Dshel61 iscorrect. Avenging Spider-Man 9 is a key for being Carol Danvers’ first appearance as Captain Marvel, who has gone to play a major role in the Marvel universe. It’s a similar case with Ms. Marvel #1. Carol Danvers had existed for about 5 years before that but that is the first issue she appears as Ms. Marvel. |
