Some of my favorites. This is the one that started it all. I only 9 or 10, and I saw this at a comic book show at a local shopping mall. It was $30, which at that time in my life may as well have been $3000. I was fascinated because I'd never seen it before, and in those times, there weren't very many toys of Marvel characters, especially X-Men, which I was obsessed with. So, I asked my parents if I could borrow the money, promising to do more chores, whatever it took. I even wrote up a contract and signed it. They agreed and bought it for me. It began a lifelong obsession with collecting toys and looking for stuff I'd never seen before. If the house was on fire and I could only grab one item, this one would be near the top of the list, due to sentimental value. A more recent interest is having figures signed. Got these signed at Wizard World Louisville last year. The reaction figures are good for sigs because they have nice photos of the characters and are small enough to display easily. Some Hot Toys Batman corner of my home office My Justice League International/Booster/Beetle figures and Watchmen. Bookshelves with Star Wars Legos, DC silver age figs, Kirby New Gods, Muggs, etc. |

Most of my collection is stored away, but every once in awhile I like taking out pieces and photographing them. When I do, I usually like displaying them with original art pages - in this image is a Jack Jadson pitch page used for a Star Wars trading card series flanked by debut MOC's for Yoda and Vader, as well as the final wave I collect which is the Empire Strikes Back 48 Back's, along with loose figure variations: |

Here's something rather unusual from the world of collectible toys. These Battleship Picture Puzzle Cubes are from the turn of the century (1898-1902 vintage) produced by McLoughlin and with a distinguished pedigree (auctioned through Southbys as part of the Malcolm Forbes Toy Collection)... |

It's Friday night so I figured I would show off some more toys. Have I said I am a huge Cosmic Marvel fan yet? Gentle Giant Star-Lord bust SDCC exclusive Robot Batman that I actually got from West Batman Black & White Jim Lee Super Alloy Batman - Its mostly metal, has a magnetic cape and the gargoyle is magnetic. It's super hard to pose well though. 1/44 scale Zeta Gundam for size reference. And I picked these up this last weekend during FCBD. They will be coming out of the package soon |
