| "Star notes are used by the BEP (Bureau of Engraving and Printing) to replace misprinted/damaged currency before it goes into circulation. These replacement notes are printed just like normal notes, except there is a star printed in the serial number. On Federal Reserve Notes, the star is where the block letter normally is (the last letter of the serial number). | Also got in a Flaming Carrot ashcan edition...now I have 3 others but they were small..this thing is huge at 8.5 x 11 inches!! by complete surprise it has an original sketch on the back cover!!! Going to keep my eyes open for more of these -I have 2 Carrot sketches already and would love to get more and $20 for the ashcan was wayyyyy less than I paid for the sketches I have!   |
