With the announcement of Toy Story 4 I figured I would dig deep into the vault. These never see the light of day so enjoy

This is a prototype that was never produced. They ended up releasing them as single tagged toys ala beenie babies.

AFA labeled this as a "salesman sample". I still don't understand that. This is a hefty, metallic toy that was later mass produced in a much lighter plastic. I call that proto all day

I’ve never seen the tie-interceptor toy. That’s awesome.

Tbh I never realized there were tie-interceptors until I played the Tie Fighter flight simulator game and then I went back and rewatched return of the Jedi and I could start spotting them in the Death Star scenes.

The unique designs of the ships is one of the things I miss most from the OT. The new movies - PT and ST - don’t offer much in that department.

Thanks, the Interceptor is pretty cool, just like the Other ones from the era the wings drop off with a push of a button...also has some light up stuff on it.

I agree, there's very little in originality of ships in the newer movies....everything seems to be a variation of what's already been done.

I have a mail in Han Solo in Carbonite (Jaba Palace) in there too, but he's lying down..my other favorite is the Luke in Stormtrooper gear...it's a common toy now, but back then it was only available as a mail in.

Hey now...the name "War Room" is my man cave...named by my late wife.

Okay...okay....you can use it too....

*smiles*

Use it in only good fun and for the story.

Cheers!

Anticipating a fine meal at Jorg's Cafe Vienna in Plano, Texas last year. RP had a free weekend from a film shoot in Louisiana, so he took us up on an offer to come up for a visit to the D/FW Metroplex. We recommended Jorg's for an unbeatable Bavarian style meal.

The next evening Bob helped us prepare a homemade Italian dinner from scratch. One of Hollywood's coolest, most down to Earth guys!

My last one was 2007....but wanted 2012...missed it....swapped out 2017 (the SW's 40th) for a trip to Yellowstone with the wife.

IMO - best choice I have ever made was with the wife.

Big Lebowsky moment while attending OAF's Dec. Wintercon in Tulsa, Okla.; other than an unseasonable tornado threatening the convention, this was the event I most remember from that weekend...

Alas, none of us was scouted for an opening on the pro-bowler's tour, but all had a great time. Bob Wayne, Texas fanzine publisher ...who'd eventually become the VP of Marketing at DC/Time-Warner... was on hand. He sat the game out, but helped keep the scoring straight and tossed in ocassional sarcasm as required.

Alas, the Yale Bowl is no longer around. Bernie and Archie have moved on as well. I toast their artistic & writing talents here in the spirit of that unplanned bowling excursion in Tulsa. Rest In Peace, bros.
