| So, I'm finally getting serious about saving for my grail, a high grade Tales of Suspense 52 (8.0, minimum). As I do so, I wonder what my fellow board members would invest in given the chance? If you had $1,000-1,500 to spend on one book, what do you think would be the smartest investment? |

| Hard to say for sure. I know that it would be a Silver or Bronze key. However, off the top of my head, I'm not sure which one it would be. | ||

| depends on it being a pure investment or wanting to have, even a very poor copy of, something already a landmark item. I.e.: Amazing Fantasy #15 in 2 would be ok, so would Flash #123. | ||

| @00slim - I don't know if it would be the smartest investment, but I need X-Men 1-5 and 9. So for $1500, I would try to pick up a 2 or 4 in nice shape, or see if I could get some combination of 3, 5, and/or 9 in 8.0 or better. | ||

| @doog So, it's the sweet cover that makes "Chamber of Chills" 19 a pricy book, correct? I don't know anything about Golden Age horror books. My wife just got into the "Witching Hour" comics from the 70's. The stories aren't really supernatural. Much more of a "Twilight Zone" & "Alfred Hitcock Presents" vibe. The covers are pretty awesome, too. Speaking of which, if anyone here has the Showcase "Witching Hour" tpb they'd like to sell for $30-$40, in interested. |
