Hey @DrWatson! Minor FYI, Nostomania does track them all - CGC, CBCS, even PGX and uncertified sales. If you guys want a sample book check, let me know, or just check yourself. I'll admit, I was kinda disappointed when I first noticed the CBCS sales clocking in lower than CGC, typically but not always, for the same book, same grade. I first reported this trend in a market report in late 2015.

The topic has been discussed here in past posts, and many plausible explanations have been brought up. The sales data tells the real story though. There has been a gap, but I'm seeing this gap begin to close. The startup of CBCS has been an extremely valuable and healthy addition to our hobby, only good things will come of it.

Also, what trend annually has that gap closed on the data you have?

I don't have these numbers handy but that is a great question, and something I should maybe add to the site. It wouldn't take much effort to write the database queries to do this. I just added a ticket to our issue tracking system to discuss, and if it makes sense, implement this. Thanks for a great idea. My main concern is we've only been supporting CBCS for about a year, so while we've got over a quarter million CGC sales in the database, at the moment we only have about 4 thousand CBCS. Of course any Nosto member can sift through the sales manually but I get it, you want the summary stats.

I personally have refrained from Submitting or buying any CBCS books until they address the Security issue with something more than the cheesy "heat seals on the Label" joke

However, everything we've seen come through lately has been done correctly. The inner well is completely secure, a label swap is not possible there any more.
