Green Lantern personal ART grail!4028

COLLECTOR shrewbeer private msg quote post Address this user
I got it!! Most of Mart's stuff from his later years isnt very good, at all, imo (may he rest in peace!). I've been searching for a good piece for a while now. However, when I saw this one, I HAD to have it; I think it's amazing!!

Off to VSP and encapsulation, this is 👌🏻. It may not be the most valuable item, but I am Beyond excited right now; had to share 😁

Was thinking of re-framing my Nodell - is only 4x6 but it is one of my most cherished pieces.

I've had it for close to 10 or 15 years so probably mid to late 90's or very early 2000's??

My next grail is a Sheldon Moldoff - harder and harder to find and not too much that strikes my fancy.

Last year I got 2 commission pieces from Ramon Fradon (co-creator Aqualad!) - one Aquaman and one Aqualad - might get another Aqualad while she is still accepting commissions (90yrs old!!)

Good question, I just shot him a message to find out. He had no problem guaranteeing VSP, says he bought it direct from Mart

CBCS encapsulation and VSP makes for a nice frame 👌🏻

If you're going to keep it, why not just get it framed at a frame shop using museum glass?

- Most importantly, VSP.
- Slab will match hanging between 1941 GL#1 and 1960 GL#1
- CBCS encapsulation protects it as well, and I'll put on a UV filter.

I really dont like the idea of art or a comic between glass. Bad things happen when glass breaks 😬

Holy WOW @shrewbeer, that is amazing! I like that he chose to remind everyone that he is the "creator of Green Lantern" nice touch

@BrianGreensnips I confirmed it was done the year of his death, 2006

@Thanatos thanks! I thought that was a nice touch as well; the man was 91, and probably wasn't getting any royalties for his creation

he signed a lot of his sketches in that manner, back in his hay day those guys didn't get the recognition or royalties.
