Would you put a collectors box in a slab?4011

SILLY question, right? Except they are coming out with a small comic box with printed art on it. One is for Superman and the other for Batman. You'll really need to be careful how you use & label your boxes then. Price is about $12 or so.
How long before all the big characters get a box of their own? And will there be variations? Batman, Detective, All star, Nightwing, Robin, Supersons, etc in perpetuity.

BCW has had several different ones produced through the years. I'm sure other companies have had licensed deals for boxes too.

Here's what BCW currently has in stock.

WoW!! Thanks for the info. Never saw any of these. When did they start doing them?

Not quite sure when they started, but I've seen ones for most of the major Marvel events lately - Secret Empire, Venomverse, Generations,...

I haven't bought any, since Midtown and DCBS only sell bundles of 5, and I can't see myself using more than one box per event.

No, I wouldn't slab it. I have several and actually use them.

If these are licensed by DC, Marvel & the other companies, then are they "collectables" just like the toys and cards?

Anything can be collectible, by anyone. It may not be collectible to anyone else though 😁

In that case, it wouldn't be surprising to learn of a person, a scholar, who collected SLABS as part of their collection on comic book history?

Sure. Slabs are a big part of history at this point. If there were a (hypothetical) auction of say, the very first slab produced by CGC, or the first prototype, I'm sure there would be some collector interest
