Really a shame what happened to a lot of the early 90s stuff. Foil and holograms, and worth $1

As a Valiant fan.....and if they are present.....then you will find some very decent stuff. Here is a link to the Valiant Price Guide on ValiantFans.com.....it is a good reference tool to use. My suggestions.....ANY "Pre-UNITY" books from the early 90s.....any of the Nintendo comics can get you a nice little return on your investment.....but some notables would be: Eternal Warrior #4 Shadowman #1 Solar Man of the Atom #10 Rai #0 Archer and Armstrong #8 ...and a few others.... FYI....these are getting harder and harder to find.....so pick them up if you find any...... http://www.valiantpriceguide.com/guide Good luck! |

Quote:Originally Posted by Symbiote Funny you should mention this. I went to a garage sale about a month ago...the listing was on a facebook page I'm "subscribed" to. It said "4 long boxes of old comics"...so I get SUPER excited, message the lady and tell her I can come early (aka right this minute) and she said yes that's fine. I LEAVE WORK in the middle of the day...drive 20 miles...only to find 3 long boxes FULL of Turok 1's and the last long box was FULL of white bag superman books. Out of curiosity, I asked how much...she said $1.50 each, $1.00 if you buy more than 10. I wouldn't have paid $10 for all 4 boxes lol. |

I disagree, the Jason Todd Red Hood went on to give us the absolutely best Batman video game story ever made in Batman: Arkham Knight.

Quote:Originally Posted by KatKomics Normally, I would agree. I think comics need to have actual stakes. The threat of death needs to exist or there's no real drama. However, Jason Todd as the Red Hood has become one of my favorite characters. He's really a rich character and it would be a shame not to have his perspective in the bat-characters. |

He was out of the continuity 16 years (Jan 89 to Feb 05). In today's comics where characters struggle to "stay dead" more than a year...that's pretty good...and to come back as an "anti hero" is fitting given the path he was heading down prior to his death. He's more popular now than when he was robin. Seems like the only two marvel/DC characters that have stayed dead longer are Bucky Barnes (also resurrected as an anti hero) and captain marvel...who is set to return soon, I believe...) Kinda like Bucky barnes's resurrection. |
