Collector Symbiote private msg quote post Address this user
I'm looking at a huge lot of early modern age books (hundreds of long boxes), with plenty of duplicates. The lot seems to be old dealer stock and all of the issues are unread.

There doesn't seem to be any mega-keys in the lot (Amazing Spider-Man #300, New Mutants #98, Batman Adventures #12, Preacher #1, NYX #3 etc.) but there are some pretty decent ones (Caliber Presents #1, Superman The Man of Steel #18).

I'm more of a silver age enthusiast, but I understand that there are plenty of books from this era that are worth less than the bag and board they are in. I'm hoping someone on this forum can suggest other issues from this era to keep an eye out for.

The lot includes a vast array of publishers, like DC, Marvel, Caliber, Valíant, Vertigo, Now, Image, Eclipse, Topps, and many issues from micro publishers that sprang up during this time period.

I know there are people on here who know their stuff and I would like some advice about modern age books to look out for, that are not that obvious.

I can tell you some mega hot Rick and Morty and Amazing Spider-man and Ninja Turtle keys that you wouldn't suspect would go for big money at high grade?

yes of course. but the 5th printing is more desired due to low print run

admittedly it's trending downwards right now though....

The lot stops short of New 52. The most recent I saw was Ultimate Spider-Man, so early 2000's?

I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for. drchaos private msg quote post Address this user
@Symbiote It may seem like a minor distinction if Silver Age is your thing but before you go nuts with the details you should probably separate the copper age and modern age into two groups.

That will make it easier to sort them and find the keys you are looking for since you will end up with two smaller hay stacks.

Also, your copper age buyers and modern age buyers won't necessarily want a mix of both.
