@DocBrown For TV theme songs, my vote goes to Mike Post

@Ditch_Fahrenheit The Brando movie it's from ("Burn!" in the US and UK), is one of my favorites. Very under appreciated film directed by Montecorvo of "Battle of Algiers" fame

Mike Post was an incredibly talented composer of TV themes. There are so many that we can recall just by the title of the show

I remember that movie. I think I watched it for the first time just a few years ago. It's very good.

Yeah, it's definitely elevator music, but it's a good example of that easy-going Linda Ronstadt 70's sound.

Ah yes! I can sing the GAH theme song from memory, 35+ years later. That show had a massive impact on me.

I'm a sucker for electric piano/organ

Well.

That's been fun.

Let's see how that is handled.

You KNOW people are watching.

Yeah, I was going to point out that 3 character variables cannot be searched, but I'm guessing he already knows that...hence my post of his most recent thread found through Google. It was the first one that popped up.

I literally don't read that junk in the WC ever.

No, I abandoned the WC in 2011. I can go to the WC and not read page after page after page, because that's where the issues congregate. It's best for me to just leave it be.

I read the silly stuff...I get a kick out of those.

But I couldn't care less about the other junk...politics, axes to grind with arch-enemies, etc.

I always liked "Jerry was a racecar driver" by Primus. That should have been a TV theme

It's funny....when I was growing up, the music was essentially what my parents listened to, particularly my mom.

As a result, I love the Beach Boys, Peter, Paul, and Mary, ABBA, and the Carpenters. (Admit it...it's hard to get ABBA out of your head...if you change your mind...)

I looked down my nose at the "hard rock" bands of the 70's, because that was for "uncivilized" people. The cultured people listened to folk music and what would become techo-pop. The hardest I ever listened to was Queen (which, of course, is still amazing. Freddie was an artist.)

And, after all, I was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area in the 70's.

But after a long, circuitous route, I've discovered that there is a lot to be said for many of these groups, particularly for the musical themes they explored and developed...and so, I've grown to like bands like the Who and Pink Floyd and even Led Zeppelin, to a degree...but especially the Who. They were doing some really revolutionary things with sound and music.

Just don't ask me to like Rush. Ain't happening.

I started listening to Primus in 1990. I was 13 years old, and I've been listening to Primus and Les Claypool ever since.

Man the memories, the dry crusty pizza the mornings after...good times, good times. Maybe it's good we are only young once
