| Are we speaking of 20th century composers for film and television? Because there are quite a few that are outstanding. Ennio Morricone, for example (the composer who wrote the famous theme for Good, Bad, and Ugly.) His "Ecstasy of Gold" is fantastic, and, of course, "Gabriel's Oboe" is a classic. As far as TV theme songs, I love Bill Conti's work, especially for Falcon Crest. Great theme. Conti also wrote the music for Rocky and The Right Stuff, among others. |
