| With the exception of MAD Mag, all these grails from each decade revolve around the first appearance and/or first issue of a new character. 90s- out of Bone, Venom, or Deadpool, I think Deadpool is going to win the day. Venom is a close second, but he isnt 100pct original; too much in common with spidey power?. 2000s - I think TWD show will tank eventually as well. But, even if it does, are there even any Original characters worth mentioning from that decade? 2010s, I have no idea who is new and good enough to mention lol, very interested in others thoughts for this decade! |

| I havent been paying enough attention to the new books to know for sure, but it doesnt sound like there are any new truly original popular characters the past few decades. For the 90s it would have easily been Spawn if not for the 1.5 million print run and the "collector's age" of books where plenty of people stashed thousands of NM copies  |

| @shrewbeer Turtles and Walking Dead include original and highly popular characters that have transcended the comics and made it big on TV shows and movies. The 1990s and 2010s clearly are a step down from these two huge titles. |
