Turnaround starts the Tuesday after the show.
It may take a while to get the orders entered, but the turnaround still starts on the Tuesday after the show.

Not sure this is accurate I was on phone with cbcs this morning my books are in pregrading and I am on day 34 no way they will be turned around by day 35 probably close to day 38-40.

I thought the turnaround time began on the date the book was marked as received?

Chad, your order is on business day 31 and should be finalized soon. My best guess is that it should ship by the end of this week.

As for business days, we don't count some conventions when we have large groups of the CBCS staff out of the office.

Were your books submitted at a show? If so, which one?

Yes, your turnaround will start on May 17th, no matter when they get entered into the system.

Thanks for update every time I have called I was told it was was business day 34 not 31 they said no convention was around. So I think there was some confusion. Thanks.

Excited because my books say the are Shipping! does anyone have a time frame from when their books said they were shipping to when they received them? Are they shipped ups ground? That took about 7 days for them to reach CBCS when I sent them that way. I hope they shipped 2 day ground. Again, super excited. Don't see any grades posted on the website, and no email about grades? Anyone know if grades get posted on the website or maybe CBCS sends an e-mail, or you just find out the grades when you open the box?
Thanks, Eric

Just called the other day and spoke to Chris, who was extremely helpful (we even caught an error that would have been a huge deal if it had gone through grading), but my books show as received on April 19, but Chris confirmed it was actually April 25.

Not sure why my profile shows it as incorrect, but just something for folks to be aware of. If you're unsure of where your books are, give CBCS a quick call, just for piece of mind!

what kinda of error ? Just so I know I didn't make the same mistake. I submitted a recall book ,should I have made sure that they are aware it's a recall.

I submitted a Sandman #1 for the verified signature (Gaiman), and it has a remark on it. They had it listed as an original art submission, which it is not.

I would have been very upset if I had received an art label, instead of a red label.

I submitted the form correctly, so Chris wasn't sure what happened, but he did go over my order with me and get it corrected. A good example of customer service saving the day!

Since this was the first time using some 2-Day and a few fast passes for my grading, I was wondering how long do they stay in the "received" status, or is this one of the new website issues?

Same thing books were submitted at show in Greenville. You have an estimate on when they are shipping those off?

I sent my books right around the same time as SC Comicon in Greenville. My turnaround time was to have my books back today. They are still not completed according to my dashboard. So unless they magically appear at my door my turnaround time was missed.

I rarely grade as the CGC put a bad taste in my mouth with the process. I was hoping CBCS would be better but it's not proving so. If my books are not back next week they will remain at my door until I return from vacation unless I get someone to go out of their way to retrieve them for me.

It is not my position to be required to be understanding. I paid for a service that was to be performed in X amount of days. Then after receiving my property and my money was taken, that time changed. Any reasonable person could be disappointed in this as their agreement had not been fulfilled. I did not submit my books to make a friend or to seek out an opportunity to paint myself as an overly understanding person.

I handled everything according to the information that was provided to me, and even built in a little bit of a buffer zone. So I don't understand why CBCS is offering a discount to make up for crappy CGC slabs and not communicating or making right with their own customers affected by their delays.

The dashboard is not updating as it should. They start the days on the day it is received at CBCS. They do not count some con days and all holidays as business days. Have you tried calling them?

Crystal clear on all those aspects. I've communicated via email my concerns and even requested if my submission is unable to be completed to have my books returned.

I was reassured they would be completed.

My disappointment stems from the campaign to try to siphon business from CGC when CBCS isn't handling their own. I feel the resources should not be allocated reaching out to CGC customers when they should be focused on their own first.

ok - cool.

I just wanted to make sure you understood everything. The convention days tend to throw off quite a few people.

I hope everything works out well for your submission.

sub my books. april 7 at Emarald city con. Today June the 2nd they arrived. Take away the con days. and allvthe other cons CBCS were at. then take off the weekends and the holidays. Thats good.
CGC would take 9 months to grade books from Australia. Nine months.Through a charter dealer. So im ok with the time it took. 2 months better then 9

I must say, I'm displeased with hearing this, not by you of course, but with CBCS. I submitted my books at Greenville on April 1st and haven't received mine yet.

Hearing the early April subs saying they still don't have theirs is disappointing. My dashboard shows my books received April 19, but when I called, they said that they didn't receive them until April 25.

Add in the fact that they had one of my books incorrectly assigned an art label (which they verified I submitted correctly), and I'm not quite 100% satisfied at this point either.

I was on the fence about switching from CGC, and the advertising of all tiers on time is what tipped the scales in CBCS's favor for my most recent submission.

I am very happy with the customer service and community though, so I'll be sticking with CBCS, especially in light of the current CGC holder debacle.

Just sharing my experience so far in case anyone else is thinking about switching or wondering about current turn around times based on submissions by date

I'm not sure what to think either. Mine were due yesterday. I was told that at the latest I should see them on 6/7-6/9, and that's if they weren't caught up by now. Since that, the turnaround has gone from a 3-6 business day delay to 6-8. So who knows when I'll see them.
