@thpike Superman is coming back, that is not even a question, he is in a Kryptonian healing coma. But Superman is not who Alfred is taking to.

BvS and MoS are both in my top 10, and 7 of those are Star Wars.

IMHO, Man of Steel is just one of those movies that gets a little better every time I watch it. Its not a perfect movie by any means, but its definitely become my version of Superman.

Actually none of that was true, because Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are in the top 10 too.

There's nothing wrong with having 15 movies in your top 10

Agreed. "Man of Steel" is very underrated. It's a very realistic portrayal of Clark Kent/Superman...Well as realistic as a movie about Superman can be.

A 9.2?! What the balls. Put my sad little 4.0 to shame! Sinestro is my favorite comic character and I would be so thrilled if he comes back to the movie screen.

Sinestro looked pretty dope in that train wreck they called a movie. May be the only good thing about it. If/when they do a stand alone GL flick they should just recast him.

The reviews did not make that a bad movie.

It didn't need any help being a bad movie.

Gotta side with @Logan510 this time @DarthLego. I wanted so badly for Green Lantern to be a good movie but they just did so many things wrong. Parallax as a giant cloud of fear sucking power? You'd think with Geoff Johns helping write the story that they would have done something awesome to kickstart the franchise but instead they did took a page out of the flop Fantastic Four playbook when they made Galactus a giant world eating cloud. There are just too many good Green Lantern villains to have settled on that.

Finding out that Hal Jordan and John Stewart will be the main GLs in the Green Lantern Corps movie has me really excited though, hopefully they've had enough time to learn from their mistakes.

The Green Lantern movie had it going for awhile, but the Parallax thing was so mis-handled and horribly crafted, the movie fell apart.

It's beautiful <3 I thought I was content with my 4.0...nope, now I NEED a NM copy. Thanks @DWeeB1967, my wife will really appreciate it lol

Seriously though,I don't think I've ever been so jealous of a comic in my life. I'm just happy to see a picture haha

@Thanatos My wife has been VEEERRY understanding over the years. It did help, though, that I was able to auction a couple of other comics (ASM #300 9.8 and Aquaman #35 9.0) to help pay for a big chunk of this.

When I saw that 9.2 I thought man that has to be one of the best copies out there. Not too far off 1 9.6,5 9.4 and 7 9.2's. A 10 cent earlier 60's DC congratulations on that book.

Well, @Thanatos, I don't guess I'm any different than anyone on the forum in that I try to buy the best looking copies of comics that I like and that I can afford. I've always been partial to DC over Marvel both in my reading habits and my back issue collecting habits. I do like the Green Lanterns and I really do like Sinestro (although maybe not as much as you do). I think he's a quality villain.

The main thing with Silver Age DC keys in high grade is that, as I'm sure you know (and as can be inferred by @JWKyle's comment), there just aren't that many of them out there and the few that are out there just don't show up for sale that often. Compared to high-grade Marvel keys from the same time period, they are MUCH, MUCH scarcer. I had made the decision to sell off a couple of comics (the ASM #300 and Aquaman #35 that I mentioned previously) to fund the purchase of... some Silver Age key. I knew that I had a short list of comics that I was really interested in. All are first appearances of a major villain:

#1: Fantastic Four #5 in the 8.0 range (maybe slightly lower)
#2: Superboy #68 in 6.5 or better
#3: Green Lantern #7 in the 9.0 to 9.4 range

Well, FF #5 almost never comes up for sale in the grade I'm looking for. If I had found one, I would have bought it instead of the GL #7. Doctor Doom has always been one of my favorite villains.

As for Superboy #68, an online dealer that I have bought from in the past recently posted one for sale in 6.5. By the time I could get in contact with him - literally just a few hours after he posted it - the comic was already sold. He said that there had been CRAZY demand for it. If you look at the CGC census for this comic, you will see why.

Soon after missing out on the Superboy #68, I came across the GL #7 at auction. Since I had already sold my comics and received payment for them, I was just holding onto the cash until the right comic came around, and I decided that the GL #7 was going to be it. Then, it was just a matter of being the highest bidder. With that said, I actually feel that I got it at a very fair price.

Being able to sell comics and use that cash to buy the GL certainly made it less painful to make a purchase like this one. Selling the ASM #300 was kind of bittersweet in that, as I'm sure you know, they sell for quite a bit these days, so I got a nice price for it. But, with that said, I had purchased it off the stand at my LCS back in 1988 when it was originally released, so I'd owned it just short of 30 years. It cost me a whopping $2.50.

So... that's why I bought it. Basically, because I do like high-grade Silver Age DC keys (really, any high-grade Silver Age DCs... Bronze Age DCs, too) as long as they are available at the right price and this one happened to be. Hopefully, I didn't bore you too much.

@JWKyle Thanks for the congrats. I'm really happy with it.

@DWeeB1967 There's a Superboy #68 8.0 coming up on a ComicLink auction starting Aug. 30th. Looks like a really sweet copy.
Here it is.

Superboy #68 is an undervalued key, IMO. Bizarro is a key figure in Superman's universe. I've always wondered why it doesn't get the attention it deserves.
