The original "Planet of the Apes." Sure, it's joked about now (Troy McClure on "The Simpsons," for example) but the first time I saw that as a kid in the 1970s (before all the jokes), it blew my mind. Same with "Soylent Green."

And I agree with @Wolverine about "The Usual Suspects."

And "Seven." Excellent (but extremely dark) movie

For a Few Dollars More
The Wild Bunch
GI Joe the Movie. Not because it was good but because Cobra-la was so stupid, I was glad it was nuked and rarely ever mentioned in the main continuity.

Secret Window.

You may guess "the twist", but the way they ended the story? Did not see that coming.

Excellent movie, based on a Stephen King story.

Yeah. They pulled a lot of dialogue straight from the story.

The movie ending is actually better than King's ending, in my opinion.

The Usual Suspects, and I find knowing the reveal makes the rest of the movie (especially early on) more entertaining upon repeat viewings.

25th Hour would be my other contribution

Good movies. But of those, I only remember Shawshank having any sort of twist.

It was too predictable. I knew he was dead when he was late meeting her at the restaurant.

Love LA Confidential. I still can't believe it lost Best Picture to Titanic!
