If the movie Snatch had a baby with the movie Smoking Aces, and raised the baby movie with all the Death Collector movies babies. This is that baby's movie.

But that is exactly why the 1st is better. I can relate to going on a killing spree if someone murdered my puppy.

It wasn't just the puppy. The puppy was his dead wife's last gift to him because she knew he'd be lost and in need of something to hang on to. The puppy was a symbol of his love and devotion to his wife, it was all he had in the world to live for.

Also, they stole his sweet ass car!

@DarthLego Yes. It is totally believable. I could see myself killing 100's of Russian mob guys in a bath house.

Also, the whole mystique of his past as Baba Yaga was awesome. The way the bad guys who knew him talked about him like he was an unstoppable force of nature was cool. And I really liked all the little details and rules about the whole criminal organization in this universe that made it feel very different from the typical crime movies. Really yo, that first movie was a work of art, plain and simple.

+1

P.S. I hope the 3rd movie comes back to that style. 2nd one went too far.

Just watched John Wick 2 on my last flight, I enjoyed it. No thinking required, just relentless action and death. I do appreciate Keanu Reeves firearm training, his weapon transitions and reloads were beautiful.

I applaud the craft but not the movie. I have favorites I'm sure you guys would hate. It happens.

Have you seen the YouTube videos of him doing the actual trailing? He's badass.

The second was a little boring. The first was great.
