| So, awhile back, I sold my CGC 8.0 New Mutants #98 for $200. Just now, I saw a 9.0 Newsstand edition for $269 or best offer. I thought "hey, if I can get this for $200, I bet I could flip it for a profit". I put in an offer. Then I realize, hey, maybe the market has dropped on this book in the lower-end of the high grade spectrum. Sure enough, even for a newsstand, $200 is about the going rate for a 9.0. Fortunately, the seller countered, asking $250, & I declined. Reminder to myself: check the market. Often! |

| I woke up this past Saturday with two CBCS graded copies of ASM #194. Too many beers Friday night led to me putting in a best offer for a 9.2 copy for $190 while forgetting I also had a $260 high bid in for a 9.4 copy. I definitely wasn't expecting the PAY NOW notification when I logged in Saturday morning. Not the end of the world though. I'll just sell the 9.2 when it arrives. Or maybe wait until the movie gets a bit more buzz... |
