| If the writing and delivery are solid, it could work. My personal feeling is that it shouldn't happen. I felt the same way about Wolverine's origin. Some characters just work better as an international man of mystery. | ||

| The "truth" will never be as interesting as the mystery. We didn't need to know where Wolverine came from, but Marvel smelled $$$, so we got Origin and its offshoots. DC knows they can get a quick money surge with this "event", so of course they're going to do it. But from a storytelling perspective, it's better left alone. | ||

| Big gamble. If it does not go down well it will hurt the character. I agree having a mystery of a character and not revealing everything about them will always create a fascination from the reader to wanting to find more about them. But serving it all up is a mistake as the character may loose their fascination quality. |
