Top loader Closure Clips3477

Collector mattness private msg quote post Address this user
I'm curious if anyone has any experience with the top loader closure clips. I like the idea but I'm concerned that the clip will apply added pressure to the top of the comic. Can anyone vouch either way for them? Thanks.

Added pressure is a concern. Plus, If you bag your books before putting them in the toploader, the clips seem unnecessary.

I've used them. I was always worried about the pressure so I ended up taking them all off. I can't say for sure they did any damage at all but it always nagged me.

My main issue with top loaders has been no support in the middle. If I put a few in a box, they seem to bow in the center as a unit! Even with extra boards and whatnot. I try to avoid them for long term storage if I can. I mean once I pulled a stack of keys that were shaped like U's I decided against it.

It's probably my error, but I stored them the same as everything else!

@mattness nope didn't see it. I only seal my top loaders when I'm sending books to CBCS. So they aren't sealed to long.
