| Good Grief, does anyone have info on this post office? I purchased two books May 28th. accepted at post office may 30th arrived at Bell Gardens April 4th departed Bell Gardens April 4th In transit to destination April 5th Departed Bell Gardens April 10th (as how it can leave twice and five days later is a mystery to me) In transit April 12th and notes The package is delayed and will not be delivered by the expected delivery date. An updated delivery date will be provided when available. The item is currently in transit to the destination as of June 12, 2017 at 6:51 am. What the?? does anyone have any experience with this? Is there anything I can do or just wait? Never had this happen before. lol |

| Did you buy their insurance? Unfortunately, in my experience, the USPS won't do anything unless the package was insured. If you call them all they will do is repeat the tracking info that you already have. You might just have to wait it out. Some times this delay happens if the package address is undeliverable |

| It may have got misplaced on a truck and ended up going back with the driver cause he missed it. Hence leaving the same place twice. | ||

| @mattness I've had the opposite experience from @JLS_Comics. Whenever I have a question or a package seems to be taking too long I use the contact page on USPS.com and a day or so later the package will start moving again and I'll get an email or phone call from a polite postal rep to let me know things are moving. Sure this is often with Priority mail, which is automatically insured but also with other uninsured services like first-class or even media mail. | ||

| @JLS_Comics Insurance wasn't an option. The seller lives five hours from me (CA) so I was fine with what was listed in the auction, first class.. @BigRig I just checked the tracking number and the package is listed as media mail ?? Maybe the seller wanted to save a buck so they shipped it media even thought they said and listed first class? @dielinfinite I just saw a "search for my package" option on the usps site maybe I'll fill that out it can't hurt. | ||

| @mattness If this is the one you're referring to then that's the option I've found success with. I typically use it when a package has gone a few days without updates so if it's been "In Transit" for a while then it is a good option. | ||

| My understanding is that media mail sits on a truck until the truck is full. I would never ship something media mail. If I can't afford the postage for priority mail and proper protective packaging, I don't need it. | ||

| I just shipped something media mail. Took 7 days to travel 60 miles. It crossed over several states going farther away before getting closer...then when it was finally back within 40 miles again it took 3 days between the last two post offices. Ridiculous... | ||

| The infamous Bell Gardens PO. Yep been there done that. Everytime I have an order route through there, it gets stuck. I'm used to it and just wait it out. I've got one stuck there right now and another stuck in its East Coast clone New Jersey office. Edit to add I don't ever blame the seller for late orders that are clearly PO caused. |

| Media mail is very slow and can cause problems like this. When I sell books on ebay that are of very low value I use this option. After ebay fees paypal fees then shipping a book that sold for say 10$ it adds up. I never send books out that are sold as first class media mail just isnt fair to the consumer. Another thing with all that "transit" time while with usps make sure your books are packaged very well. They arent treated like first class. Even if packaged well it could be opened for inspection (unlike first class) and then someone at usps grubby hands all over your books. | ||

| The new jersey one is media mail due on the 17th. The Bell Gardens one is due the 14th tomorrow is usps priority mail flat rate envelope. The race IS ON!!!! | ||

| A lot of the media mail I send to CA goes through Bell Gardens. That is the cost of using media mail. It is up to the seller to get that package to you. Blame him, not USPS. |
