| @SteveRicketts isnt like 99.9% of all superheroes american? I thinks it's fair to reinvent some characters like Wonder Woman to be more worldly. Captain American is enough propaganda for me. In my opinion I like to enjoy my super heroes without all the politics. | ||

| Generally speaking a movie needs to make about 2 or 3X its budget to be considered successful. The production budget for Wonder Woman was approximately $150M. Add about 50-100 million more for P&A which puts the movie right around where she is globally ... $223M (6/5/17 at the time of this writing). That's the break-even point. Awesome in the scheme of things as that is in just one weekend however it will need to be in the $300M range before WB considers it a success. edit: Don't forget that WB doesn't get all of that back to them...a lot of the revenue goes right to theaters and then distributors above that before it even gets back to the studio. |

| Nobody gets paid in hollywood until profits are made. It's a hard business. I actually wrote 3 screenplays, was optioned for 1, was promised 50% funding if I could come up with 10%. So yeah, like I said movie business is hard. | ||
