Adding additional rules in the contest has been shown to confuse people and lower the amount of entries. Nevertheless if you want to make it a book out of your collection, we all post in a CBCS forum, why not go the extra step and say it has to be a CBCS slabbed book too? I'm sure you can see that would really limit the amount of entries unless the themes were really vague and that would cause people to loose interest.

I agree with the following thoughts...

I try to make my entry a comic book I own but sometimes use Googled photos. Time is an issue sometimes. My collection is massively disorganized. I was lucky that my shark week entry was on top of an open stack. Otherwise it could have been hidden in any box, bag, or tote where my 5,000 comic books are stored. Time can take time, time after time.....😎

Did we start voting? If not, there was a ton of early votes this week.

@Towmater early and multiple all from new members (except for dpiercy). Are we being sabotaged or what?

Just out of curiosity why do we have the timeline or rule on when votes get cast?

I would be in favor of a voting free-for-all. Early, often, as many as you like on as many covers as you like. I think more people would be involved, makes vote counting easy, and it would clear up any confusion for new members (and mm 😎)

Vote for me this week and we can try it out next week 😁

The creator of the contest week one set that and it had just been stuck with.

How do you declare a fair winner if people can vote as many covers as they want?

That's right! It was always open to negotiation but nobody ever suggested a different timeline. I actually chose that so that the new contest would begin just in time for the weekend when I believe lots of folks would be on the forum. I figured 1 week was plenty for each round also.

@JLS_Comics I've noticed a pattern that seems like most of the entries are usually in by Saturday or Sunday and then we twiddle our thumbs for 3 or 4 days waiting for voting to officially begin.

The point is to make it simple, most votes wins no matter who voted or how many times they voted on the same cover or multiple covers.

Lots of triple votes, high totals, etc, but bottom line is most votes wins

I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for. drchaos private msg quote post Address this user
I cast my vote.

None for me yet.

Allowing early voting would artificially inflate the vote totals of earlier entries since you are only allowed to vote on one cover.
