I loved reading Metal Men all those years ago. I’ve not long got rid of some low grade 37 39 40.

Got these up at the moment clickable text

I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for. drchaos private msg quote post Address this user

I actually got a little money for this one

What a crying shame comic books like this are allowed to get in such a bad condition.

I love looking at the old x-men books. They have such an original nostalgic tone and feel to them

I loved the X-Men as a child.

I remember fondly going around the various local newsagents on a Saturday morning choosing which comics to buy with my pocket money in the late 60’s.

My father would give me 2 shillings and 6 pence = 1 half crown (2s 6d) for which I could get 3 comics which were then priced at 8d. and I had a little left over.

Comics then went up to 9d so I had less left over and when they went up to 10d I could just get my 3 comics exactly….but I was happy with that.

So late 60’s I was collecting X-Men/Superman/Action Comics/Worlds Finest/LSH etc but as late teens emerged and the dreaded females and drink came along I grew out of comics (how can you EVER grow out of comics) and eventually….wait for it……….after keeping them in a suitcase for years……threw them all away……….I still have nightmares about it.

And of course in my early 20’s I started collecting again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
