Adam Hughes refuses to work with CBCS2799

| From Adam Hughes Facebook page: Good Evening. It has come to my attention that the CBCS grading and witnessing company has posted on their message board that Adam was going to be doing a private signing for them at MegaCon. They posted this information without Adam's knowledge. I had reached out to them, as I have many others, in an effort to secure a better way to handle signings and head sketches at MegaCon. They took it upon themselves to jump the gun, and announce something that I had not yet had the chance to even let Adam know was in consideration. At this time, I have let the representative at CBCS that I have been in contact with know that there will be no such signing at MegaCon; at least, not with their company. I apologize to anyone that may have read this information on the CBCS message board and been misled by it. When I do have the final details on how we will work out the signings and head sketches at MegaCon, I will post here about it. I hope to have it sorted out in the next day or two. | Not making any assumptions. Just a thought - do your research before posting. At least there are higher standards for moderating on this forum. If it had been the other way around I think there is a good chance that the thread would have been moderated and deleted by now. |

| All humans make mistakes ranging from minor to severe. It is possible the CBCS employee made a mistake, I'm assuming he/she is human. But is it not possible this employee was given incorrect information and was making a legitimate effort to share what they believed was good news? I can't imagine they would deliberately mislead CBCS members. That would make no sense. The title to this thread is definitely a mistake, because the OP does not know what the true sequence of events were. He is making an assumption and produced a poorly worded (and potentially misleading) title. |

| I'm just gonna throw my 2 cents in because that's what a forum is for. That being said, I agree that mistakes happen and although I could understand if CBCS has done this time over time, not saying that have it have not because I don't know, then the reaction would seem more warranted. |

| The original post above, is a copy and paste of what was on Adam Hughes face book page, and not the thoughts or words of NamesJay. At least that is what I comprehend. I am assuming that Allison is a coordinator or wife/girlfriend of Adam Hughes. No harm done and no foul. Making a mountain out of a mole hill, IMO. Moving on. |

| Last I knew Matt from Trinity was not a CBCS employee and his FB page was not the CBCS FB page or the CBCS forum. Seems to me this was made an international incident for reasons that are not as above board as have been reported. It appears that AH's rep is intentionally trying to give CBCS a black eye. | ||

| Matt's post of the AH private signing was re-posted by someone in the CBCS Authorized/Witness Verified Signature group. The post can easily be view as a CBCS private signing. I wonder if this is where the confusion was. | ||

| While I find it awfully amusing to be called a 'jerk' because I posted relevant news from the Adam Hughes Facebook page, I don't find it warranted. I will agree with other posters, however, that it isn't necessarily a CBCS employees fault... and that it could be a fault of Adam Hughes team. I just don't know why an artist/creator would try to give a black eye to a grading company. I want CBCS to succeed and provide great competition with CGC. This message from Hughes disappointed me because CBCS needs to excel in all areas in order to get to that point where they are competing with CGC. |

| Best case scenario would be Hughes and CBCS get together and move past this issue. Both sides acknowledge miscommunication and set up some deal making. | The "Manager" is his wife Allison Sohn, a great creator/artist in her own right. I think they got mad at the pricing as they re-iterated multiple times on Adams fan page this week that Autos are free for the first 5 then $5 each. and Head Sketches are $40..they prob didnt like someone making money off of them without their input. I've met them both and they are reasonable people and mainly do it for the fans, but now their hand is forced to do it with a company etc. | ||
