This one?? I've always been a bit curious of how much it was worth. it's in pretty good condition though the holder has yellowed. I need to get a new one for the card. |

Keep in mind, those prices are asking prices, not realized sold amounts. I can put a Power Pack #1 on eBay and ask $1000 for it, but that does not make it worth any more at all.

One sold for $100? How much more would it sell for if it had a Stan Lee signature? Better yet, if it had a Stan Lee Spider-Man face doodle/sketch?

Since Stan likes signing everything, maybe he'll co-sign my home loan.

Here is a fun fact for anyone.... The 1991 Upper Deck baseball as a whole set will sell retail for about $30.00+ dollars, and overall only about 5-10 cards really carry the 750+ card series. http://www.deanscards.com/p/211621/1991-Upper-Deck-1991-Upper-Deck-Baseball-Factory-Sealed-Complete-Set- If you really want to invest in something, try the 1989 first/premier edition....it contains a Ken Griffey, Jr. card (#1) |

....this just goes to show..... People will pay what they want to, when they want to, and if they want to. People will also pay for something that makes them happy. Please remember....eBAY sales data includes sold items that were never actually sold, but show as sold due to "shills" and non-paying bidders. IMO - it isn't worth it. Why MJ and no Bo Jackson? Will Tim Tebow have that extra pizzazz? As you can see where i am going with this.....people will buy what they want, if they want to spend the money. I hope you can get $1k for yours.....more power to you. Although you won't get it from me. "Buy low and sell high" is something we all should strive to do. Percentage increase is the name of the game. EX: One can get maybe 4% interest through a bank on $20.00, whereas, if this card was purchased at $15.00 and then sold for only $150.00....you are looking at 10X the interest (1000% increase).....not 4%. IMO - don't be greedy, but make someone else happy with the purchase. :o) Cheers! |
