If you do a search on ebay for "2017 newsstand" you only get 3 results, and 1 of them is a magazine. These books are super rare it seems. About 25 results if you search for 2016 newsstands, which will return results favoring mostly 1-10 rebirth issues for a premium price.

The non-lenticular Flash 21 is a really awesome cover. I'll see about digging up some more closer to my work tomorrow.

AND, since this is the new and old NS thread I figured I could showcase some of the Spider Man NS Editions I have picked up over the years! I'll post some more titles later :P

very nice.

perhaps we need a "Newsstand Edition - 1991-2001" and "Newsstand Edition - 2001-Current" threads. The current thread will be sparse however imo unless people live near B&N or BAM

Well no luck on any 'new' newsies BUT I did grab a couple of older ones today..

I wish the 118's and Deathstrokes were newsies, but considering the full pic was under $20 I did okay! Pretty sure I've seen the LOBO posted up here, and since I have seen the Spider Man #1 as well I figured I should show how much of a match it is...

OH.. CANADA!

1993 DC Comics SUPERMAN #75 "Death of Superman" Dan Jurgens, Brett Breeding Cover, Newsstand Edition, 2 are definitely 9.8 candidates. 1 after my son read it is sitting at a 9.0 at best. He did not take the news well. Now all I hear is him saying over and over and over "Superman's dead. He's dead."

What have I done?

I tried to tell him that he came back, "here, want me to show you?" and he started screaming at me me saying "NOOOOO!!!!!!!!"

oops.

here's the one with tears on it:

Superman should were dog tags that say "if you find me dead don't bury me, it's just a kryptonian healing coma."

It's funny because I kept running around the house yelling back at him, "but it was 1993! I WAS 13 YEARS OLD! YOU WERENT EVEN BORN YET!!!"

Are 4th printings more valuable than 1st?

@X51 only when the print run is very low making them harder to find, and then only to collectors who actually care about the print run scarcity of subsequent printings.

I know the later printings of the direct editions had increased in value. I wasn't sure if 4th printings of the Newsstand version had an an abnormally low supply. I had about 5 of the 1st printing newsstand comics. They came out almost a month after the direct market version was released.

On Superman #75, only the 4th printing newsstand editions have bar codes

edit: oops that's incorrect

Look at the scan I posted above. It's a first printing with a bar code.

Cyberrad #5 newsstand. The direct market version had a glow in the dark gimmick cover. This one does not.

This one is tricky, because the bar code is on the back cover.
