| i forgot about Malibu comics. I have a Ferret #1 cut away cover signed by the artist Mike Miller. I slapped that bad boy down on the table at Wizard World Con in Portland, OR and the guy just looked at me and groaned. He couldn't believe anybody noticed he did that book. He laughed and signed it, told me to tell nobody else about the book lol | ||

| I don't collect Malibu. A store in the 90's was frustrated with the extra stock he was getting stuck with. He experimented with a dual distribution. He was buying from Diamond AND a Newsstand distributor. I think he was hoping he could order newsstand copies and send them back if they didn't sell. He ended up dropping his experiment and shortly after he moved his store location. I was enlisted to help move the store. He wanted to pay me to help him move. I said that no one could ever pay me to help them move because I detest the whole moving process. He kept pleading. I then clarified that I would help him move because I wished that hell on no one, but he could not pay me. I think I saved the Malibu Newsstand comics from the trash. LOL! |
