Signature Verification Question2468

If you submit a signature for verification but CBCS deems it is inauthentic, is the book graded anyway with a notation that a signature is written on it but that the signature was determined to be inauthentic? Or does the case simply denote that the book has writing on it without any mention that it was submitted for verification? I'm curious because I purchased a book with a signature and am interested in having it verified, but I would first like to know how this situation is handled. The book is currently slabbed by CGC. Thanks. |

When you create the invoice you can choose if you want it graded after a failed certification or not. If you choose to have it graded, the signature will affect the grade and you will have a graders note that says something along the lines of "Jack Kirby signature on 1st page unverifiable by CSA." No note on the label. |
