Hello, I have Saga #1 first printing actually I have two of them. One friend says I should get at least one graded and another says it's not worth it. Wanted to get a few peoples thoughts on this. Both copies have never been opened or read. I bought two and read one. My wife heard me talking about it when first released and surprised me with another copy so that's why I have two never opened or read. Thanks all for your time! |

Yes, grade all three and sell two of them.

You might as well have them pressed while you are at it too.

Should I press even though there are no folds or anything

Quote:Originally Posted by Despain True, but it sucks getting a 9.6 when $15 and a quick press could have gotten you a 9.8. A press will maximize your condition in most cases (even if it does not result in a grade bump), and prevent any regrets on high dollar books. |

Quote:Originally Posted by Darkga Definitely a good point. But I wonder what the long term effects will be on books that have been pressed. I know that a certain amount of moisture has to be added. Will that encourage staple rust in some books that were pressed down the road? I don't know. Will it cause earlier degradation of the paper itself down the road? I don't know that either. But it's possible. If I examine my books carefully, and I think it has an excellent shot at a 9.8 without pressing it, I'll take the risk. If it's an older book that has no shot at a high grade, I might have it cleaned and pressed in hopes to bump it up a grade or two. |

@Darkga I feel you. For NYX #3 there's about a $300 difference between a 9.6 and a 9.8.
