I have nothing to do with that book. I might bid on some of the items in the auction, but I am not selling anything in it.

unfortunately incomplete books hold no interest for me-even if I had Action #1 with page missing I'd broom it fast.

Amazing Spider-Man (1963)#40 7.5-9.0 signed by Stan Lee and John Romita. Preferably with white pages and a good wrap. But the kicker is nicely placed signatures I don't want Stan right in the middle. In my opinion he ruins lots of comics with horrible (almost seems intentional) sig placement.

There is a 5.5 blue label in their current auction. I don't have anything to do with that book either.

The Batman 181 homage is by artist James Lyle. He has lots of published work and can be found at many cons in the artist alleys.
Here's another one of his works on a well known Batman cover.

@Foghorn_Sam so he just does homage covers and sells prints of them? DC needs to hire this guy and reprint some classics!

He is going to cover up the "over-exposed" Poison Ivy.

I always thought in the original, Robin looks like he has a pinch or two between his cheeks and gums; either that or he just had his wisdom teeth taken out.

Robin is covering up something else, and who could blame him?

I found a fair amount of his art with Batgirl and Wonder Woman images on the net. He has his own website too and his work has been published in various titles. Since he attends some conventions, I bet you can get some of this stuff at his booth. Other than that, I just discovered his art myself in the last day or so. I thought that Batman #181 cover was so cool, I just had to post it.

He has duct tape in his other hand and he's about to make the grab.

Gotta be more than pen and ink involved-logo and comics code etc cannot be hand drawn.

I've never heard of James Lyle, but your reasoning is flawed. Google images using "Bruce McCorkindale reproductions". They are not colored, but I think it proves your premise is wrong.

I'd love to get a Batman #130 slabbed or outstanding raw copy in VF or better. A 9.4 would be heavenly. There are none higher than a single 9.2 in the CGC census.
Strong sentimental reasons. My grandfather bought me one at a dime store on a happy childhood day.

Nothing better than sentimental reasons. There are just a handful of books I can remember where and when I got them, but I can relive those memories now just as vividly as the day they happened.
Good luck finding a copy of that book in the condition you are looking for.

Kav, you might be correct, but talented artist and inkers could do those logos. I know Mike DeCarlo could do those.

Can't be hand drawn? What about this much more complicated image?
