Thats a really sweet sketch by T. Not 10k sweet, but awesome anyways. Defaced by Stan of course, but thats prob where the seller thinks this 10k value is 👌🏻

*smurks*....and it isn't even a yellow label.

Can an OA on a comic book be ASP, if coming directly from the artist? Or does CBCS have to witness the artwork being drawn and then signed?

IMO - as to the pricing.....I might be pushing....uhm.....$300-500.00 tops.

I don't think I would even entertain anything higher than that. And trust me...that is pushing it.

1:1 OAs are cool, but the interest is usually very limited, because of the supply/demand ratio, thus doesn't interest me too much, except if I found it for much, much less.

We should all send him emails asking if it's still available and if he has any others. He'll think there's huge demand and raise the price.

@ZosoRocks Yes, an artist can submit the book directly to CBCS, along with a very short form they fill out and sign, for the book to get a yellow label. I've done it with a few commissions

Thanks.

That explains a lot.

This piece probably cost the original owner less than $200 to complete a two-color profile sketch.

Are they hoping some rich Beverly Hills collector "just has to have it"?

These people help give the industry a bad image.

$1,000 maybe, but definitely not $10,000. Do you know how hard it IS to get Toddy to sketch anything these days? It's next to IMPOSSIBLE I TELL YOU

He's got my vote! Too bad felons and foreigners aren't eligible. 😉

For $10,000 why wouldn't you just try to reach out to Todd's people and get him to do you something custom? They might say "no" but it doesn't hurt to ask and unless you do the answer will always be "no".

If Mcfarlane is 10K, a Stan Lee sketch should be 15K.
I know there's a TON of Lee signatures but I haven't seen many sketches.

Haven't looked though.

15k rare?

Theres a recent sale for a Stan stick figure on a sheet of paper for $82, looks just like this one. Only other one I could see was a BIN sale of $4,500 but its a bit suspect (it was a best offer auction but sold for full asking).

I saw that listing 7 was thinking... if that's what McFarlane's sketch is going for.... what are my original McFarlane pages worth!!??

IMo - my Spawn "single line" doodle is better.....than Stan's stick figure!

What kind of brah?

I like Victoria's Secret. They have a nice selection.

When an item sells best offer you can't see the actual selling price, only what the seller had been asking.

COLLECTOR shrewbeer private msg quote post Address this user
I assumed full sale as there was no strikethrough of the sale price (all best offers ive seen have a green line through the price)

For 10K you could purchase some choice Hulk, and Spider-Man pages that McFarlane did.

@Jaydknight You can purchase that Action Comics #1 9.0 that was restored for less than that.

Something just occurred to me. Could these sellers be using crazy prices with the Best Offer feature just so they get the number one search spot when searching prices highest to lowest?

@Towmater Wow....Maybe he mistyped added a few extra 0's. Lol.

That definitely could be. I've seen comic websites and accounts publish news about high asking prices or sales so it could be them wanting more exposure to liken the sale maybe?

That book is immensely valuable, but not over half a million valuable. I'd price that book at a hefty $30,000. That book is impossible to get in such high grade due to the black cover. That sketch tho? Impossibru!
