What will your last submission be?22267

past performance is no guarantee of future actions. KatKomics private msg quote post Address this user
nahhh....I'm out.
Won't take the risk.
My guess...if the in house presser had been let go then they will send the books to a 3rd party.
I trust and have used CBCS pressing - no idea about a potential 3rd party
Books are safe enough in my boxes....if at some point I want them pressed I can get that done...if I also want them graded then I'll have to wait for a grading service I want to try.

One in the small group just back today. Will get my last submission set ready. Nothing hi grade just mostly romance low or no CBCS population books

I posted in another thread, that I found a credit on my account, so I considered subbing one last book, but I don't have anything new that I wanted to submit right now.
I re-holdered most of the older slabs in my PC (almost 15 books) last summer. These 3 are the last of my "keeper" book that are still in an older CBCS slab. After my credit and a coupon code, my only cost to re-holder these is shipping. Dropped them in the mail yesterday.

For anyone that wants it, the coupon code is CODY10OFF2026

Edit: Nevermind and sorry for the scare. I see that those are witnessed signatures.

@co2_2 you may have caused yourself a headache. I believe that first label Hulk #340 was when CBCS was using a different company to verify signatures. If so, Beckett won't honor those signatures and will likely charge you to reverify. I'd consider contacting Cody Lockwood and ask him to not reholder the book, unless you want to potentially owe $55 for VSP if they don't give you a deal on it.

If the Hulk book is witnessed signatures versus verified, then he'll be fine.

@flanders

All of the signatures are witnessed, none are verified.
The McFarlane sig was a cross-over witnessed sig from CGC, when it was cracked to add Peter David.

I am going to send a couple slab only books to go this week, and a decent stack to go on the 11th. I am also waiting on an artist to finish a commission, and he knows it needs to be sent before the 17th.

I'm still unsure though... do books need to be received by the 17th? Or just the online form filled out by then?

I would say the books need to be received by the 17th. They are shutting down and clearing out that building. They might hold the doors open for an Action #1, but other than that, you might want to light a fire under it.

@DrWatson I don't think they are clearing the building, it's always been mostly Beckett staff there, and my understanding is that's not changing. (Heard rumors about PSA staff starting to move in).
But I agree that for any CBCS orders, the books prob need to be there by 4/17.

Clearing CBCS out of the building.

Thinking of sending in about 10 older slabs…PC books I’ve been meaning to get into new slabs.

Little nervous…these are $500-$1000 books….thinking of sending them in separate shipments to mitigate the risk of losing all of them in the mail…

How do I know this? Because I've done it myself. lawguy1977 private msg quote post Address this user
@Drogio That's one way to go for sure. Otherwise, take pictures of what you're mailing next to the packaging, and make sure you have plenty of insurance to cover the risk of loss.

Personally, I think you mitigate the risk by only sending 1 package and not multiple packages as I think that would increase the odds of one being lost.

@lawguy1977 Agreed. I think splitting them up only increases the likelihood of something going wrong.

Definitely going to cost me at least $50 more for shipping there and back.

Created the order, but it won’t let me print the invoice. 😫

I can print old invoices from past orders…but not the one I just created.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Would it be possible if any one is privy to that information once it happens: Can the very last book CBCS slabs be shared on the Collectors Syndicate Forum?

Created a single book submission…I can print the invoice.

However when I created a second (duplicate) submission I can’t print an invoice. I have no idea why…maybe because I’m mixing signature series or different tiers together…that’s all Incan think of…but I would think it would kick it before it allowed it to be submitted.

My last submission is a press and grade of Fantastic Four #43. It was delivered to CBCS on 2/18 and hasn't yet moved out of Received. I have to admit I'm getting worried about whether or not it will actually get Pressing.

My last submission will be the one that has been in CBCS's hands since early February, that I have been billed for, and it is just sitting. Just Art encapsulation under the Art label. knowing that this unique option is gone, means I will now just stop submitting sketch covers and use a DIY solution.

Here's my last submission, in the mail system now. For clarity, the Cherry 24 is the Adam Hughes pixelated blue trade dress cover limited to 250, the two Dead Samurai comics are the virgin Sienkiewicz versions and the Murder Drones is the 1:100 incentive.

My last submission was sent in yesterday. (172) comic books for pressing and grading. I'm hoping they honor my points of (155,960.00) or $1,559.60 in credit. That will put a nice dent in my bill.

@Rafel it's been mentioned several times on this forum that Cbcs pressing has been shutdown. I hope those books are worth grading without it. Also, I'd take a screenshot of your rewards and make sure they redeem them.

On past orders, my rewards were listed on the invoice and deducted from the total payment.

I loved Sears photography studios back in the day, but I didn't rush to schedule my last selfie with my dog there when they closed just because he was more glamorous in their photos. Imagine if Ralphy was less important to new, big business Sears ownership than to me as the doors closed. They might not capture his chiseled cheek bones and taunt buttocks because they had a deadline to leave the mall and make room for a Radio Shack expansion.

Coffee Talk... discuss.

Dang, Rafel... 172 books to press? That's a tall order! I hope they do it for you, especially with $1.5k in credit to your name. You ought to be able to do with it what you want. Having said all that, I'm glad my measly 10 book order will probably get there just before yours! =P
