| damn this sucks, I loved CBCS slabs and how they displayed. I wanted to get some more signatures at cons but they stopped going, but least I can say I got some good stuff slabbed by them and will keep them in my collection for years to come. Who knows will be rare to see CBCS slabs down the line and may be a thing to own. |

| Cody will still be part of the sales team, I would guess his focus will be shifted toward BGS but I don't want to speak for him. My primary focus will be Manga going forward. | Thanks to the folks who have been reaching out to me. I appreciate you all checking. After April 17th, CBCS will no longer be a grading option. We work out of the Beckett office in Dallas and will still offer Beckett Manga grading. Wade and I are still with the company and will be changing our roll to full time Manga once the CBCS orders are closed out. As Wade mentioned, we have lost some employees, so please reach out to support any of those you were friends with. They would appreciate it. |

| They made a mistake, they should have just changed it to only Golden Age premium grading with very fast turn around. Just focus on one area, and don't get bogged down with modern etc.. People would have used it especially with very fast turn around times and extensive grader notes and explanations. It would have been profitable with the higher fees for that era. They could have turned into the premier golden age grading company and still have Beckett operating as well. |

| We should enjoy whatever time we have left on these boards; they will be missed. Perhaps some ...those who haven't already... will congregate over to the Collector Syndicate boards, ...not affiliated with, controlled by or influenced by grading companies. I've been posting over there for about eight months! FTR, branding-wise, I remain loyal to CBCS! Over the years, I've been constructively critical of CGC policies and some of their practices, but in general have tried to remain respectful of their place in the hobby and continued success. That said, on the whole, collectors should be concerned about decline in top tier competition that leads to monopolization of the grading business, keeping in mind that 'new kids on the block' always have a tougher sell. Twelve years is a very good run! Books graded by CBCS should still retain their commercial value in spite of any changes the public places on evaluation as there were few internal hiccups and no ethical scandals that I'm aware of that led to accusations of 'grade fixing' or other apparent misrepresentations driving down the company's good name and reputation. CBCS employees and management should be proud of that! These are just random thoughts and shared opinions; hopefully these views will be seen in the positive light in which they're intended.   |

What I liked about CBCS Their slabs Their grading Their employees Their Forum But I most appreciated the board members and the time we spent together. I will miss you all. I will try and go with @flanders suggestion, although I don't know anything about that app/website or whatever it is. but I would hate to loose touch my fellow boardies. Does BGS have a comics forum? Does PSA? or is it collectorsyndicate.com for us all? |

| What a shame I have a submission on the way back to me now..will crank out two more before the deadline. Great brand, great slab, just had the deck stacked against them in their formative years and couldn't drown out the influencer mantra of 'so and so's slabs sell for more'. Competition is a good thing. CGC will eat PSA's lunch on the Comic side. Especially if that label stays in place. New look label from CBCS came just a little too late. Love the way books look in them. They compliment my CGC slabs well. Will miss the brand! Rest easy CBCS  |
