The thing that makes no sense and she was a HUGE part of this is, Disney has always had a problem catering to the male audience. They have all their princess stories girls love. One of the reasons they bought Star Wars was to appeal to the male audience. Kathleen Kennedy decided she wanted to feminize Star Wars and everything except the first two seasons of the Mandalorian were centered around female characters. If you notice The Mandalorian season three was mostly about Bo-Katan. Maybe Disney has finally seen the light and Star Wars will be what it should be!

It comes out May 22. How little you hear about it considering it’s 3 months away is a little worrisome.

I think The Mandalorian and Grogu film has a chance to hit the defibrillator on it...

I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for. drchaos private msg quote post Address this user

Grogu is the definition of a character created to sell toys.

My view on SW is that it's been fairly uninteresting to me with the exception of the first two seasons of Mandalorian. Some of the other shows and films (loved Rogue One, the sequels not so much) seemed more like filler with characters or stories that weren't interesting. Just my opinion. I'm too young to have seen the originals in theaters but saw them on VHS growing up in the 80s. I was excited as a 12 or 13 year old to see the special editions in theaters then as a high school and college aged kid for the prequel trilogy. We can debate the quality of the first six films but a new Star Wars film was an event. Now it's just meh.

I'm all for a strong female lead, but, and this is something I noticed in the MCU also, the female leads seem to be super powerful, smart and amazing at everything they do no matter what. That's not character development, that's just pandering. With Filoni stepping up, maybe he can pivot to get some focus on the development of a character and why the audience should care.

Just my perspective and I hope this refresh for the brand can liven it up a bit.

@Studley_Dudley I am old enough to have seen the original in theaters.

I think that the only really good things Disney has done was The Mandalorian and Andor. I have no issues with Bo-Katan. I like the character. I just don't like seeing the show focus on her and not Din Djarin. To me Din Djarin is the center of the show. The obsession people have with Grogu has shifted the focus to him. Everyone wants a new Jedi and he kinda fills that hole. Plus he's the same race as Yoda We started to see a little of Din Darien's past and I liked it. The original series was cool because it was about this bad ass bounty hunter, but the story seems to be focusing more on Grogu now. The very first episode went back to what the original Star Wars was, a science fiction western. It was exactly what Star Wars fans wanted. Now it's about an alien flying around the galaxy with his side kick, Din Djarin.

Anyway I'm a big Star Wars fan and I could talk about it forever.

I have no issues with STRONG female characters. I liked Ashoka. I thought Sabine was an awesome character. You can make a Great Star Wars series without the gender of the main character mattering.

Kathleen Kennedy's "The Acolyte" can sum up what she wanted Star Wars to be. It was a piece of crap. Let's hope things turn around now that she's gone.

.

Grogu has serious learning disabilities right?
Yoda died at 900...had been training Jedi for 800...sooooo....by 100 he was a master Jedi...Grogu is 50+ and can't walk or talk...you telling me in the next 50 he spikes!!??

Mando should have been episodic tales with maybe season long hunts for a specific bounty with smaller ones along the way

Star Wars was dead a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

She was Lucas’ handpicked choice when he sold Lucasfilm.

We were “never” going to see the OG Star Wars cut again, but it’s coming in 4k next year.

Makes me wonder if there were some clauses in the sale about what changes could be made when.
